Great Vision Primary Embarks on an Unforgettable Mtomawe Adventure!
On June 19th, 2024, a combined group of curious explorers from Classes 4 and 7, led by the ever-enthusiastic Headmaster John and a team of dedicated teachers, set off for an unforgettable adventure at Mtomawe, “The Eden of Morogoro.” This wasn’t your typical school trip – it was an immersive experience filled with unique encounters and exciting activities!
Instead of towering giraffes or playful zebras, our young adventurers were greeted by a fascinating array of creatures. They marveled at the slow and steady pace of tortoises, some even getting the chance to carefully carry these gentle giants under the watchful eyes of teachers. The vibrant calls of various birds filled the air, adding a symphony of sound to the experience. Porcupines, with their impressive coat of quills, and even a friendly donkey provided close-up encounters with Tanzania’s diverse wildlife.
But the adventures didn’t stop there! Mtomawe offered a thrilling zipline course, where students soared through the air, adrenaline pumping as they enjoyed breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. A refreshing dip in the pool provided a welcome break from the African sun, allowing for laughter and playful splashing among classmates.
This trip wasn’t just about fun and games, though. Mtomawe’s knowledgeable staff provided insightful talks, fostering a deeper understanding of the local ecosystem and the importance of conservation. Students learned about the various species they encountered, their habitats, and the delicate balance that sustains them.
By the end of the day, our young explorers returned to Great Vision not only with exciting stories and newfound knowledge about Tanzanian wildlife, but also with a newfound appreciation for nature’s wonders. The memories of carrying tortoises, ziplining through the air, and swimming under the African sun will undoubtedly stay with them for years to come. The trip to Mtomawe wasn’t just a field trip – it was an educational adventure that sparked curiosity, fostered teamwork, and created lasting bonds between students and teachers.
